P!NK took her famous acrobatic-style performance to new heights at the "ROCK IN RIO" Music Festival, with the popstar swinging from chandeliers on-stage. The JUST GIVE ME A REASON singer graced the stage at the Olympic Park in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on Saturday to headline this year’s installment of the annual music festival. And it’s safe to say that Pink, 40, got the party started and delivered a standout performance thanks to her dizzying acrobatics. After being suspended in the air, Pink was seen dangling from a particularly large chandelier with seemingly no fear whatsoever. She then looped her legs into a hoop and hung upside down all the while still managing to sing. P!NK treated the packed-out audience to a host of her biggest hits, including SO WHAT, WHO KNEW, JUST LIKE FIRE, WHAT ABOUT US and RAISE YOUR GLASS.

“The Greatest Band on Earth,” Tenacious D will be on September 28th at Rock City World Stage. Versatile musicians, Jack Black and Kyle Gass are also actors. After the 2013 concert, Nickelback returns to Rock in Rio with the tour of their latest album, “Feed the Machine”, considered the biggest and most amazing of the Canadian band to date. On October 6th, besides the songs of the current tour, the audience will have a great time with a show full of classics.

The musical twins Elisabeth "Lzzy" and Arejay Hale composed songs at an early age. In 1997, the siblings Halestorm and recorded the stages of their hometown of Red Lion in Pennsylvania. The US rock band was inspired by artists such as Alice Cooper, van Halen and Cinderella. In 2003 and 2004, guitarist Joe Hottinger and bassist Josh Smith joined and completed the band. In 2013 Halestorm won a Grammy with the song Love Bites in the Best Hard Rock / Metal Performance category. In 2018, her fourth album Vicious was released.

The 2019 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony took place on March 29 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Def Leppard, Stevie Nicks, Radiohead, Roxy Music, the Zombies and the Cure make up the Class of 2019. They were inducted by a star-studded group of peers including Brian May of Queen, Harry Styles, David Byrne, Simon Le Bon and John Taylor of Duran Duran, Susannah Hoffs of the Bangles and Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails. An artist is eligible for the hall of fame 25 years after their first commercial release. The nominating committee creates a shortlist, according to the Hall's official website, and then sends the ballot to "more than 1,000 historians, members of the music industry and artists — including every living Rock Hall inductee." The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has selected the top five vote-getters for induction in the past, but this year seven artists were inducted (Janet Jackson also made the final cut; she was inducted by Janelle Monae).

British hard rock will invade the Sunset Stage. After 34 years, Whitesnake returns to the festival, this time for the promotion tour of their new album, “Flesh & Blood”. David Coverdale formed the group in 1978. Since then, the band has topped the charts several times and received countless awards and nominations. What the public will see in the City of Rock, September 28, promises to enter the history of Rock in Rio once again. Here “we” go again, Whitesnake!

Women have increasingly become prominent on all scenes, and the national metal scene is no exception. Nervosa Band is a good example of this. Created in 2010, the power trio from São Paulo formed by Prika Amaral (guitar and vocals), Fernanda Lira (vocal and bass) and Luana Dametto (drums) has released three studio albums: Victim of Yourself (2014), Agony (2016) and Downfall of Mankind (2018), all on the Austrian label Napalm Records. Despite their short career, Nervosa was compared with classic trash metal bands such as Slayer, Sepultura, and Exodus. Nervosa's latest project, released in 2018, is the album Downfall of Mankind, which adds death metal elements to the band's soundscape. Although their lyrics are in English, most of them focus on Brazilian social problems, namely, corruption and politics.

On the current PUMPKINS UNITED tour, something happened that all fans have always dreamed of: Michael Kiske and Kai Hansen have teamed up with Weikath and Grosskopf to play the band's great classics. It will be amazing to see Kiske and Deris on vocals, Weikath, Hansen and Sascha on guitars, Grosskopf and Dani on bass and drums, all together on Stage World, on Metal Day! There will be magic in the air in Rock City.
